Anand Mahindra showed a glimpse of electric flying taxi

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra is very active on social media. He keeps sharing something or the other with his fans. Recently, he has shared a post showing a glimpse of the country’s first electric flying taxi. He has expressed hope of launching this flying car in India by next year. Besides, Madras IIT has also been praised for promoting such innovation in the country.

He shared the picture of the electric flying car and wrote – Eplane company is being formed by IIT Madras to manufacture India’s first electric taxi and this electric flying car can fly by next year. Also in his post, he has described IIT Madras as one of the exciting and active incubators of the world. He also thanked the country for the increasing number of incubators and said that now the country is not lagging behind in making new inventions. He also given information about its features, in which he has told that this flying taxi will be able to cover a distance of 200 km at a time. Also, this flying taxi will have seating arrangement for 2 people and it can lift weight up to 200 kg.

Eplane is a tech startup company based in Chennai. She is developing flying electric taxi. It had received approval to manufacture electric aircraft from the aviation sector regulator DGCA on May 23 last year. With this, Eplane Company became the country’s first electric aircraft manufacturing company.
