Congress could not score a century; BJP is sad even after getting 240

New Delhi: In Bihar, this is called going nervous. This happens when a person is close to his goal but is unable to achieve it. The same happened with both Congress and BJP in this Lok Sabha election. Congress could not even get 100 seats and became a victim of nervous nineties after reaching 99. On the other hand, BJP seemed nervous about not getting the majority on its own. On Tuesday, the day of counting, BJP’s tally kept fluctuating between 240 and 245. Ultimately, BJP could not get enough seats on its own to form the government alone.

You must have seen or heard many times that during a match, when a batsman crosses the score of 90 runs, everyone’s eyes are fixed on him. What will happen next? Will he be able to complete the century? Actually, many times the batsman is under this pressure of performance and he gets out while completing 90 to 100 runs. This is called nervous nineties.

In 2014, when Narendra Modi became the PM of the country for the first time, Congress was reduced to just 44 seats. The situation became such that Congress had to struggle to get the post of Leader of Opposition, after this, the situation for Congress remained more or less the same in 2019 as well. In this election, the party was able to win 52 seats. That is, the situation did not change for Congress in 2 Lok Sabha elections. So this time it was a do or die situation for Congress and this time it strengthened itself by winning 99 seats.
