Israeli Air Force eliminates Hezbollah terrorists in Syria under Iranian direction

The Israeli Air Force carried out a targeted operation in southern Syria on Thursday, killing two terrorists linked to Hezbollah and operating under Iranian direction, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The strike, which took place in the Quneitra region, eliminated Ahmad Al-Jabr, a prominent figure in Hezbollah’s “Golan Terrorist Network,” and another unnamed individual who was reportedly working closely with Iranian forces.

This operation comes amid a wave of unconfirmed reports in Hebrew media suggesting that Israeli ground forces may have also launched a larger commando raid on an Iranian facility in southern Syria. These reports allege that the Israeli troops captured Iranian officers and seized valuable intelligence material during the mission.

Syrian media outlets reported additional strikes by Israel on military targets in central Syria, particularly near Masyaf, where a scientific research facility believed to be an Iranian-run site for producing precision missiles and chemical weapons was hit.

The IDF has not confirmed the reports of ground operations or additional strikes, but the attacks appear to be part of Israel’s ongoing efforts to curb Iranian military influence in Syria.
