Canada has not yet issued the death certificate of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had demanded this certificate several months ago. According to sources, the Canadian government has sought to know from the NIA why they need Nijjar’s death certificate. Nijjar was shot dead outside a gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia in June last year.
According to media reports, he was a Canadian citizen and was declared a terrorist by the NIA in 2020. Relations between India and Canada have deteriorated since Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of having a hand in Nijjar’s murder.
India has called all the allegations leveled by Canada baseless. However, Canada has not presented any concrete evidence in this case. India has accused Canada of supporting extremist and anti-India elements in its country.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has admitted that his government provided only intelligence to India regarding the murder of Nijjar, not concrete evidence.
Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating six cases linked to Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. So far, the NIA has seized three properties of Pannu in Chandigarh, and several lands belonging to him in Amritsar have also been confiscated. India has declared Pannu a terrorist, and he holds US and Canadian citizenship.
Recently, Sanjay Verma, who was the Indian High Commissioner to Canada, has made several important revelations against the Trudeau government. He said that there has been a big betrayal with India and Canada has deceived India. Sanjay Verma said that Canada’s behavior has been very bad, especially from a country that is considered a friendly democracy. Sanjay Verma was also among the diplomats whom India recalled from Canada.
