‘Manava Sanjaram’ Concludes in Thiruvananthapuram, Celebrating Harmony

Thiruvananthapuram: The Manava Sanjaram, led by Dr. Muhammed Abdul Hakkim Azhari, State General Secretary of Samastha Kerala Sunni Yuvajana Sangham (SYS), concluded in the state capital, Thiruvananthapuram, inspiring Malayalis with its message of human harmony and unity.

The Manava Sanjaram is a friendly walk that saw religious, cultural, and political leaders marching together in solidarity, in an age of division and communal intolerance. The walk started from Kasarkode on November 16th and passed through 14 districts of Kerala with various programs. On the last day, thousands participated in this walk, which started from Palayam Juma Masjid in Thiruvananthapuram and concluded at the Kanakakunnu grounds. Among the dignitaries were prominent leaders such as Dr. Shashi Tharoor MP, AA Rahim MP, Ramesh Chennithala MLA, and Kadakampally Surendran MLA, who joined hands to promote the spirit of togetherness.

General Education Minister V Sivankutty inaugurated the concluding session at Nishagandhi Auditorium and Sayyed Ibrahim Khalilul Bukhari, General Secretary of Kerala Muslim Jamaat, presided over the event. Dr. Muhammed Abdul Hakkim Azhari delivered an introductory address emphasizing the significance of human responsibility and the politics of humanity.

Guests of honor included AA Rahim MP, MLAs Ramesh Chennithala and Kadakampally Surendran, and notable figures such as former MLA K. S. Sabarinath, Swami Sandeepananda Giri Acharya, Kerala Council of Churches General Secretary Adv. Prakash P Thomas, Rev. Father George Joshua, and Minority Commission Chairman Adv. A. A. Rasheed. Keynote addresses were delivered by Perode Abdurrahman Saquafi, SYS State President Sayyed Thaha Saquafi, and other speakers.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Azhari led a morning walk in Varkala, engaging with youth, political leaders, entrepreneurs, and media workers in thought-provoking discussions. As part of the event, SYS leaders visited Shanthigiri Ashram, where Dr. Azhari presented a memorandum summarizing the ideas cultivated during the Manava Sanjaram to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The statewide journey, which commenced in Kasaragod on November 16, served as a prelude to the SYS Platinum Jubilee Conference, which was scheduled in Thrissur from December 27 to 29 and was themed “Responsibility and the Politics of Humanity.” The concluding event in Thiruvananthapuram embodied the movement’s ideals, fostering unity and collective responsibility for humanity.
