Full support for Invest Kerala Global Summit: Nitin Gadkari

Kochi: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has extended his full support to the Invest Kerala Global Summit being organised by the state government to boost Kerala’s industrial growth. Nitin Gadkari announced that projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore will be implemented in Kerala. The Union Minister was speaking while participating in the Invest Kerala Global Summit online.

There are 31 projects coming up in the state. A distance of 896 km is to be developed. This includes five packages connecting Palakkad with North Kerala, the Union Minister said. Rs 10,840 crore will be spent to make the Palakkad-Malappuram National Highway four-laned. The distance is 120 km. The minister said that all five packages including this are in the bidding stage.

The Union Minister announced a Rs 6,500 crore project for the construction of Angamaly-Kundannur bypass. The DPR process is in progress. The Union Minister also announced that the construction can start within six months. The Union Minister also announced a Rs 5,000 crore package for the Thiruvananthapuram Outer Ring Road project.
